New data on pipefishes' and seahorse's endohelminths off Crimean coasts of the Black Sea

Summary: A study examined 357 Syngnathidae fishes caught in different habitats along the Crimean Black Sea shelf and found that they serve as hosts for 15 helminth species. These fishes are intermediate hosts for several parasites, including cestodes, nematodes, and acanthocephalans. They also pose a potential threat as agents for the transmission of black spot disease.
