Automatic Landslide Inventory Mapping Approach Based on Change Detection Technique With Very-High-Resolution Images

Lv Zhiyong et al.

Summary: This letter presents an algorithm for landslide inventory mapping (LIM) based on automatic adaptive region extension using very-high-resolution remote sensing images. The algorithm utilizes k-means clustering to generate training samples for landslide and nonlandslide classes, and applies automatic adaptive region extension to determine the labels of pixels. Experimental results demonstrate the advantages of the proposed approach in improving the performance of LIM with very-high-resolution remote sensing images.

Unsupervised Change Detection Using Convolutional-Autoencoder Multiresolution Features

Luca Bergamasco et al.

Summary: The use of supervised deep learning models for change detection requires a large number of labeled samples, which are difficult to obtain in the multitemporal case. To address this issue, a proposed unsupervised method based on convolutional autoencoders can automatically learn spatial features and achieve effective change detection through feature selection and multiscale strategies.

Assessing indirect economic losses of landslides along highways

Jie Zhang et al.

Summary: This study suggests a method to assess the indirect losses of landslides along highways, finding that the impact of landslides on different sectors depends on their dependence relationship with the transportation sector. Indirect losses increase as repair time increases and decrease as the transportation network becomes more robust.

Landslide Mapping Using Two Main Deep-Learning Convolution Neural Network Streams Combined by the Dempster-Shafer Model

Omid Ghorbanzadeh et al.

Summary: This study investigated the use of deep learning CNN technology combined with optical data and topographic factors for earthquake-induced landslide mapping. By training CNN streams with different datasets and combining the results, as well as comparing the mapping results through mean intersection-over-union, it was found that using spectral information and slope topographic factors can improve the mapping accuracy. The improvement of the mean intersection-over-union ranged from approximately zero to more than 17%, and the Dempster-Shafer model was effective in combining results from different scenarios.
