A novel and sustainable method for constructing medicinally active compounds, 4-aryl-1,2,3-(NH)-triazoles, using Ni(OH)(2)-ZnO nanostructured mixed crystals has been developed. The one-pot multicomponent synthesis in PEG-400 solvent gives nanosheet-like reusable catalysts, which are highly efficient, economical, and tolerant to a wide range of substrates with excellent yields.
