The double-cocatalyst spatially separated structure was built by introducing Pt (electron trapper) and CoOx (hole collector) nanoparticles, growing on the outer and inner surface of the skeleton of hierarchically ordered TiO2-SiO2 respectively. This novel designation showed an enhanced performance in the photoreduction of CO2 and H2O vapor for the selective generation of CH4 (up to 94.7%).
