Bose-Einstein Condensate dark matter models in the presence of baryonic matter and random confining potentials

Tiberiu Harko et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of an uncorrelated random potential on the properties of Bose-Einstein Condensate (BEC) dark matter halos and derives the basic equation describing the density distribution of the galactic dark matter halo. By comparing the theoretical predictions with observational data, the study provides estimates of relevant astrophysical parameters of dark matter dominated galaxies.

Quantum statistics effects near the critical point in systems with different interparticle interactions

S. N. Fedotkin et al.

Summary: This study derives the equation of state with quantum statistics corrections for Fermi and Bose particle systems using van der Waals (vdW) and effective density-dependent Skyrme mean-field interactions. The first few orders of these corrections over a small quantum-statistics parameter are analytically obtained. The results show that a small impurity of alpha particles to a nucleon system does not significantly change the basic results for symmetric nuclear matter in the quantum vdW consideration.

Thermodynamic properties of interacting bosons with zero chemical potential

O. S. Stashko et al.

Summary: Thermodynamic properties of an interacting system of bosons at finite temperatures and zero chemical potential were studied within the Skyrme-like mean-field model, focusing on the interplay between attractive and repulsive interactions. Various modifications in thermodynamic properties were found as the strength of attractive forces increased, leading to different types of first order phase transitions. While some of these transitions also exist in the Boltzmann approximation, the effects of Bose statistics introduce significant additional changes in the thermodynamic quantities due to the possibility of Bose-Einstein condensation.

Critical point and Bose-Einstein condensation in pion matter

V. A. Kuznietsov et al.

Summary: The Bose-Einstein condensation and liquid-gas first-order phase transition in interacting pion matter were studied through mean-field and hybrid models. Despite minor differences, both models show similar qualitative and very close quantitative behavior for thermodynamic functions and electric charge fluctuations, with a peculiar property of an intersection at the critical endpoint between the Bose-Einstein condensation line and the first-order phase transition line.

Phase diagram of interacting pion matter and isospin charge fluctuations

O. S. Stashko et al.

Summary: Equation of state and electric (isospin) charge fluctuations for matter composed of interacting pions are studied using a mean-field approximation. Two scenarios for fixing model parameters with and without a first-order phase transition are considered, both providing a satisfactory description of lattice data. Differences in behavior of isospin charge susceptibilities are qualitatively compared for these two scenarios, with potential for probing through lattice simulations at temperatures below or around 100 MeV.

Phase diagram of a matter with a Skyrme-like scalar interaction

L. M. Satarov et al.

Summary: In this study, the equation of state and phase diagram of strongly interacting matter composed of alpha particles were investigated using the mean-field approximation, with particle interactions described by a Skyrme-like mean field containing attractive and repulsive terms. Model parameters were determined by fitting binding energy and baryon density values obtained from microscopic calculations, predicting first-order liquid-gas phase transition and Bose-Einstein condensation of alpha particles. Strong density fluctuations were predicted near the critical point at approximately 14 MeV and 0.012 fm(-3) density.

Higher order conserved charge fluctuations inside the mixed phase

Roman Poberezhnyuk et al.

Summary: General formulas for higher order cumulants of conserved charge statistical fluctuations inside the mixed phase are presented, using the van der Waals model in the grand canonical ensemble. The calculations of higher order measures of conserved charge fluctuations near the critical point show that even-order measures have only positive values in the mixed phase and go to infinity, while odd-order measures have regions of positive and negative values near the binodals. These results are discussed in the context of event-by-event fluctuation measurements in heavy-ion collisions.
