B-anomalies from flavorful U(1)′ extensions, safely

Rigo Bause et al.

Summary: Extensions of the standard model with generation-dependent couplings are investigated as an explanation for anomalies in rare B-decays. The study focuses on stability and predictivity up to the Planck scale, introducing three generations of singlet fermions, an enlarged scalar sector, and possibly right-handed neutrinos. Gauge-anomaly free benchmarks consistent with experimental constraints are identified, and the two-loop running of couplings is studied to enhance predictive power.

Tests of Lepton Universality Using B0 → KS0l+ l- and B+ → K*+l+l- Decays

R. Aaij et al.

Summary: This study presents tests of lepton universality in B-0 -> K(S)(0)l(+)l(-) and B+ -> K*(+)l(+)l(-) decays, where l is either an electron or a muon. The differential branching fractions of B-0 -> K(S)(0)e(+)e(-) and B+ -> K*(+)e(+)e(-) decays are measured using proton-proton collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment. The results are consistent with the standard model and previous tests of lepton universality, and the first observations of B-0 -> K(S)(0)e(+)e(-) and B+ -> K*(+)e(+)e(-) decays are reported.

Scotogenic neutrino masses with gauged matter parity and gauge coupling unification

A. E. Carcamo Hernandez et al.

Summary: In this paper, we propose a Dark Matter (DM) model that achieves gauge coupling unification and matter parity through scotogenic neutrino mass generation. The key component of this model is the Majorana SU(3)(L)-octet leptons, which stabilize the DM particles and predict a plethora of new particles that can be observed in low-energy experiments.

b → sl+l- global fits after RKS and RK*+

Marcel Alguero et al.

Summary: We present an up-to-date complete model-independent global fit to b -> sll observables and confirm patterns of New Physics able to explain the data. The results suggest that both right-handed couplings and lepton flavour universality violating (LFUV) left-handed lepton couplings are possibilities, and the LFUV observable Q(5) can distinguish between these two scenarios.

U(1)B3-L2 explanation of the neutral current B-anomalies

B. C. Allanach

Summary: This study investigates a speculative short-distance force to explain discrepancies observed in neutral current decays of B hadrons compared to Standard Model predictions. By extending the Standard Model with additional quantum numbers and specific particles, including three right-handed neutrinos and a gauge field, the proposed model successfully accounts for the anomalies in B-decays.

Test of Lepton-Flavor Universality in B → K*l+l- Decays at Belle

S. Wehle et al.

Summary: The study presents a measurement of R-K(*), including the branching fraction ratio for both charged and neutral B mesons. Absolute branching fractions for individual modes in different bins of the squared dilepton invariant mass were also reported. The obtained results are in line with standard model expectations.
