Search for resonant production of strongly coupled dark matter in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV

A. Tumasyan et al.

Summary: The first collider search for dark matter from a strongly coupled hidden sector is presented. The study used a data sample corresponding to 138 fb(-1) collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC. No structure in the dijet transverse mass spectra compatible with the signal is observed.

Dark matter scattering cross section and dynamics in dark Yang-Mills theory

Nodoka Yamanaka et al.

Summary: This study calculates for the first time the scattering cross section between the lightest glueballs in SU(2) pure Yang-Mills theory, identifying them as potential candidates for dark matter. By evaluating the interglueball potential and scattering cross section, the research provides observational constraints on dark matter self-scattering and derives a lower bound on the scale parameter of the SU(2) Yang-Mills theory.

Unsupervised hadronic SUEP at the LHC

Jared Barron et al.

Summary: Confining dark sectors with pseudo-conformal dynamics can produce SUEPs, and their patterns can be explored through observable measures such as charged particle multiplicity, event ring isotropy, and geometric distances between charged tracks. Utilizing these techniques, particularly the unsupervised strategy, can provide insights into exotic Higgs branching ratios at colliders without requiring detailed knowledge of signal features.

SU(N) gauge theories in 3+1 dimensions: glueball spectrum, string tensions and topology

Andreas Athenodorou et al.

Summary: The study calculates the low-lying glueball spectrum, string tensions, topology properties, and running coupling constants for SU(N) lattice gauge theories in 3 + 1 dimensions, extrapolating the results to the continuum limit and N = infinity. It shows that the lattice coupling strength is inversely proportional to 1/N for constant physics as N -> infinity. Additionally, the study provides analytic formulae for estimating string tensions at a given lattice coupling, based on fits to calculated values of a root sigma with the 3-loop beta-function.

Exploring the Universe with dark light scalars

Bugeon Jo et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the cosmology of the dark sector involving (ultra)light scalars, investigating the origin of scalar mass and its interaction behavior, particularly with regard to the dark axion and dark glueball in the universe. The potential contributions of the dark axion and dark glueball in the formation of supermassive black holes at high redshifts are also explored.
