Gravitational dark matter: Free streaming and phase space distribution

Md Riajul Haque et al.

Summary: Gravitational dark matter, the simplest scenario in early Universe cosmology, is studied in this research. The production mechanism, mass range, and phase space distribution of gravitational dark matter are discussed.

Gravitational portals in the early Universe

Simon Clery et al.

Summary: In this paper, we investigate the production of matter and radiation during reheating after inflation, focusing on gravitational interactions. We consider the exchange of graviton in the scattering of the inflaton or particles in the newly created radiation bath. We analyze the gravitational production of dark matter and radiation, and derive a lower bound on the maximal temperature for a specific scenario. The importance of each process in the production of radiation and dark matter is compared.

Gravitational portals with nonminimal couplings

Simon Clery et al.

Summary: This study considers the effects of nonminimal couplings to curvature and investigates three types of scalars: the Higgs boson, the inflaton, and a scalar dark matter candidate. The study finds that these nonminimal couplings increase the production of dark matter and contribute to the radiation bath during reheating. Additionally, these couplings may also increase the maximum temperature during reheating.

BICEP/Keck constraints on attractor models of inflation and reheating

John Ellis et al.

Summary: Recent BICEP/Keck data, combined with previous WMAP and Planck data, provide strong new constraints on the tilt in the scalar perturbation spectrum (n(s)) and the tensor-to-scalar ratio (r). These constraints are evaluated in attractor models of inflation formulated in no-scale supergravity, and they determine the number of e-folds of inflation (N-*), the magnitude of the inflaton coupling to matter (y), and the reheating temperature (T-reh). The 68% C.L. region prefers large values of N-*, y, and T-reh, which are constrained by the production of gravitinos and supersymmetric dark matter.

Interplay between neutrino and gravity portals for FIMP dark matter

Marco Chianese et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the interplay between the neutrino portal through the right-handed neutrinos and the gravity portal through the massless spin-2 graviton in producing dark matter particles in the early universe. By exploring the parameter space and conducting analysis on the Littlest Seesaw model, it reveals the key elements involved in the production of dark matter particles.

Inflaton oscillations and post-inflationary reheating

Marcos A. G. Garcia et al.

Summary: The perturbative decay of the inflaton and the effects of non-instantaneous reheating on temperature and final state mass were investigated. It was found that the spin statistics of the final state can affect the temperature evolution, and the final state mass can lead to kinematic suppression or enhancement.

Gravitational production of a conformal dark sector

Michele Redi et al.

Summary: This article examines dark sectors with gravitational couplings to the Standard Model, focusing on production in the relativistic regime and the impact of interactions leading to various phenomena. An illustrative example of the dark glueball scenario as a viable dark matter candidate is provided, with an extension to strongly coupled CFTs and their holographic duals with the dark dilaton as the dark matter candidate.

Gravitational SIMPs

Basabendu Barman et al.

Summary: The study suggests that the self-interaction of dark matter can expand the viable parameter space, allowing lower reheating temperatures to be compatible with the observed relic abundance of cosmic microwave background radiation. This has significant implications for the yield of dark matter.

Dark matter and leptogenesis from gravitational production

Nicolas Bernal et al.

Summary: The study explores the possibility that dark matter is generated purely from gravitational scatterings together with long-lived heavy Majorana right-handed neutrinos. The late decay of these neutrinos could inject significant entropy into the thermal bath, affecting the dark matter abundance and cosmic baryon asymmetry.

Gravitational production of dark matter during reheating

Yann Mambrini et al.

Summary: This study investigates the direct s-channel gravitational production of dark matter during the reheating process, finding that the abundance of dark matter primarily depends on the combination T-max(4)/TRHMP3 and can be produced at sufficient densities over a wide range of dark matter masses, from 1 GeV to 1 ZeV.
