Influence of geographical factors on thermal stress in northern Carpathians

Krzysztof Blazejczyk et al.

Summary: The study analyzed thermal stress in the northern Carpathians and found that cold stress increases and heat stress decreases with rising altitude. In the eastern part, differences in climate and topography make cold stress more evident, while heat stress is more frequent on the southward slopes compared to the northward areas.
