Summary: A dual enzyme-responsive molecular AND logic gate has been developed in this study, utilizing a self-immolative tyrosinase recognition site to discriminate various combinations of enzyme level and/or activity, resulting in a 70 fold enhancement in fluorescence. This smart molecular probe has potential in the development of biosensors for disease discrimination based on characteristic enzyme activities.
