Quantum Squeezing Induced Optical Nonreciprocity

Lei Tang et al.

Summary: The study presents an all-optical method for achieving optical nonreciprocity on a chip by quantum squeezing, enabling selective compression of photon modes and inducing chiral photon interaction between resonators. The resulting devices include an all-optical diode and a three-port quasi-circulator, with high isolation ratio and fidelity, low insertion loss, and the ability to switch nonreciprocal transmission of light on and off.

Nonadiabatic geometric quantum computation with cat-state qubits via invariant-based reverse engineering

Yi-Hao Kang et al.

Summary: This article proposes a protocol for achieving nonadiabatic geometric quantum computation of small-amplitude Schrodinger cat qubits through invariant-based reverse engineering. By introducing an additional linear drive, oscillations between cat states can be induced, and nonadiabatic geometric quantum computation with cat qubits can be realized through the design of this drive. Numerical results demonstrate the robustness of this method against systematic errors, noise, and decoherence.

All-optical quantum simulation of ultrastrong optomechanics

Xian-Li Yin et al.

Summary: This study presents an all-optical scheme to simulate ultrastrong optomechanical coupling based on a Fredkin-type interaction. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the enhanced optomechanical coupling can enter the single-photon strong-coupling and even ultrastrong-coupling regimes, enabling the creation of macroscopic quantum superposed states and the implementation of a weak-to-strong transition for quantum measurement in the system.

Shortcuts to Adiabaticity for the Quantum Rabi Model: Efficient Generation of Giant Entangled Cat States via Parametric Amplification

Ye-Hong Chen et al.

Summary: The proposed method utilizes shortcuts-to-adiabatic dynamics to quickly generate nonclassical ground states of the Rabi model in ultrastrong and deep-strong coupling regimes by applying parametric amplification to the Jaynes-Cummings model. The STA protocol can produce large-size Schrodinger cat states faster, approximately 10 times, than adiabatic protocols, enhancing protocol robustness against dissipation and imperfections. The ability to freely design the parametric drive and robustness against experiment operation imperfections make this method promising for practical applications.

Single-photon-triggered spin squeezing with decoherence reduction in optomechanics via phase matching

Zhucheng Zhang et al.

Summary: This study proposes a scheme to implement single-photon-triggered spin squeezing with reduced decoherence in an open system. By coupling the optomechanical system to a squeezed-vacuum reservoir, the thermal noise can be completely suppressed, leading to improved pairwise entanglement of the spin ensemble. The system achieves better squeezing degree compared to traditional methods and is immune to thermal noise, offering promising applications in quantum information processing.

Fast binomial-code holonomic quantum computation with ultrastrong light-matter coupling

Ye-Hong Chen et al.

Summary: The proposed protocol introduces a method for bosonic binomial-code nonadiabatic holonomic quantum computation in a system consisting of an artificial atom strongly coupled to a cavity resonator. By utilizing shortcuts-to-adiabatic methods and error-sensitivity nullification, the gate time can be reduced to tens of nanoseconds while maintaining high fidelity quantum gates. This protocol demonstrates rapid fault-tolerant quantum gate generation with experimentally realistic parameters of over 98% fidelity within approximately 35 nanoseconds.
