Lattice dynamics and spin-phonon coupling in the noncollinear antiferromagnetic antiperovskite Mn3NiN

L. Florez-Gomez et al.

Summary: In this study, the lattice dynamics and spin-phonon coupling in the Manganese-based antiperovskite Mn3NiN were investigated theoretically and based on first-principles calculations. The results revealed a strong spin-lattice coupling, providing important insights into the magnetostructural behavior of this type of materials.

Strain dependence of Berry-phase-induced anomalous Hall effect in the non-collinear antiferromagnet Mn3NiN

F. Johnson et al.

Summary: The anomalous Hall effect in non-collinear antiferromagnets is primarily dependent on the non-zero components of the Berry curvature. By examining the thickness and temperature dependence of AHE in Mn3NiN films grown on a piezoelectric substrate, researchers have found that the strain-induced changes in AHE are dominated by the intrinsic strain dependence of the Berry curvature.

High performance Wannier interpolation of Berry curvature and related quantities with WannierBerri code

Stepan S. Tsirkin

Summary: Wannier interpolation is a powerful tool for performing Brillouin zone integrals over dense grids of k points, but more complex physical problems and materials create numerical challenges. This article presents methods to significantly boost the speed of Wannier interpolation, such as combining fast and slow Fourier transforms and using explicit symmetries. These methods have been implemented in the Python code WannierBerri.

Multifunctional antiperovskites driven by strong magnetostructural coupling

Harish K. Singh et al.

Summary: Through density functional theory calculations, the origin of multifunctional properties for cubic antiperovskites with noncollinear magnetic ground states was elucidated, attributed to strong isotropic and anisotropic magnetostructural coupling. Out of 54 stable magnetic antiperovskites, 14 exhibit antiferromagnetic magnetic configurations driven by frustrated exchange coupling and strong magnetocrystalline anisotropy.
