Synthesis and activities of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors

Shiyang Zhou et al.

Summary: Cholinesterase inhibitors can be divided into two categories: acetylcholinesterase and butylcholinesterase inhibitors. The development of selective inhibition of AChE and BuChE activities is a central focus of ChE pharmacochemistry research. In the past decade, there has been significant progress in understanding the pharmacological properties of selective AChE inhibitors, aiming to develop more effective and selective inhibitors.

5,10,15,20-tetrakis (4-carboxylphenyl) porphyrin functionalized NiCo2S4 yolk-shell nanospheres: Excellent peroxidase-like activity, catalytic mechanism and fast cascade colorimetric biosensor for cholesterol

Yanlei He et al.

Summary: Por-NiCo2S4, functionalized NiCo2S4 yolk-shell nanospheres with excellent peroxidase activity, were successfully synthesized. The presence of superoxide free radicals and the synergistic effect of holes were found to play a key role in catalytic reactions. Por-NiCo2S4 was used to construct a fast cascade reaction sensing platform for quantitatively determination of cholesterol.

Inhibited oxidase mimetic activity of palladium nanoplates by poisoning the active sites for thiocyanate detection

Ge Kang et al.

Summary: A novel colorimetric method for sensitive detection of thiocyanate (SCN-) has been developed based on its suppression of the oxidase-like activity of palladium square nanoplates on reduced graphene oxide. The method allows for both quantitative and visual detection of SCN-, and is sensitive enough for real sample detection.
