Characterization of resistive Micromegas detectors for the upgrade of the T2K Near Detector Time Projection Chambers

D. Attie et al.

Summary: The second phase of the T2K experiment is set to begin in autumn 2022, featuring an upgrade to the Near Detector (ND280) with the construction of two new Time Projection Chambers called High-Angle TPC (HA-TPC). These TPCs will be equipped with eight Micromegas type charge readout modules on each endplate. The new Encapsulated Resistive Anode Micromegas detector, which combines resistive anode charge amplification with bulk-Micromegas technology, has been tested with successful results, meeting the requirements for the ND280 TPC upgrade.

Demonstrating a single-block 3D-segmented plastic-scintillator detector

A. Boyarintsev et al.

Summary: Three-dimensional finely grained plastic scintillator detectors offer advantages in high-precision tracking, excellent calorimetry, and sub-nanosecond time resolution, but face challenges in production time and assembly. This manuscript introduces a novel design for efficient and cost-effective detector construction. This work could be particularly relevant for next-generation long-baseline neutrino-oscillation experiments.

Comparison of validation methods of simulations for final state interactions in hadron production experiments

S. Dytman et al.

Summary: Neutrino cross section and oscillation measurements rely heavily on modeling hadronic final state interactions, which often introduce large uncertainties. Validating FSI models using hadron-nucleus data adds further uncertainties. Alternatively, using transparency data to measure the probability of interaction as a function of hadron energy can provide insight into the relationship between pi(+) and proton total reaction cross section and transparency.

Improved constraints on neutrino mixing from the T2K experiment with 3.13 x 1021 protons on target

K. Abe et al.

Summary: The T2K experiment reports updated measurements of neutrino and antineutrino oscillations using appearance and disappearance channels. Significant improvements have been made to the neutrino interaction model and far detector reconstruction. The data show a weak preference for normal mass ordering and the upper sin(2)theta(13) octant.
