We present a case of monkeypox in a vaccinated patient, highlighting the fact that vaccination does not guarantee full protection against the disease. The patient experienced prodromal symptoms followed by painless penile lesions that later merged.
We report a case of monkeypox in the United States in a patient who had been vaccinated with ACAM2000 small-pox vaccine 8 years earlier. Despite his vaccination sta-tus, he still contracted disease. He showed prodromal symptoms preceding development of painless penile le-sions that later coalesced.
