Structural, petrophysical and lithological characterization of crystalline bedrock buried-hill reservoirs: A case study of the southern jinzhou oilfield in offshore Bohai Bay Basin, north China

Tao Ye et al.

Summary: The study investigated crystalline bedrock in the south of Jinzhou oil field and found that despite the lack of primary porosity, large-scale and high-quality reservoirs can still form through the coupling effects of tectonic fractures and weathering. This recognition is significant for bedrock hydrocarbon exploration in basins with high exploration degrees worldwide.
