Learning Spatiotemporal Failure Dependencies for Resilient Edge Computing Services

Summary: Edge computing services are at risk of infrastructural failures, requiring innovative failure resilience approaches. This article presents a novel machine learning-based mechanism to evaluate the failure resilience of redundantly deployed services on the edge infrastructure. Through simulation experiments, the mechanism demonstrates superior performance in terms of availability, number of failures, network delay, and cost.
