Surface Luttinger arcs in Weyl semimetals

Summary: The surface of a Weyl semimetal not only contains open Fermi arcs, but also Luttinger arcs associated with strongly interacting systems. These Luttinger arcs connect surface projections of Weyl nodes of opposite chirality and form closed loops with the Fermi arcs when the Weyl nodes are undoped.

Intrinsic coupling between spatially-separated surface Fermi-arcs in Weyl orbit quantum Hall states

Summary: This study demonstrates the intrinsic coupling between two spatially-separated surface states in the Weyl orbits of a Dirac semimetal film. Independent scans of top- and back-gate voltages reveal the concomitant modulation of doubly-degenerate quantum Hall states, providing new opportunities for controlling the novel quantized transport in topological semimetals.
