Effect of Rashba and Dresselhaus spin-orbit coupling on supercurrent rectification and magnetochiral anisotropy of ballistic Josephson junctions

C. Baumgartner et al.

Summary: The simultaneous breaking of inversion- and time-reversal symmetry in Josephson junction (JJ) leads to anomalous Josephson effect and magnetochiral anisotropy (MCA) of Josephson inductance. The orientation of the current with respect to the lattice affects the MCA, possibly due to a finite Dresselhaus component, and the two-fold symmetry of the Josephson inductance reflects in the activation energy for phase slips.

Unconventional supercurrent phase in Ising superconductor Josephson junction with atomically thin magnetic insulator

H. Idzuchi et al.

Summary: This study reports unconventional supercurrent phase in van der Waals heterostructure Josephson junctions by coupling NbSe2 Ising Cooper pairs across a thin magnetic insulator Cr2Ge2Te6. The research demonstrates a doubly degenerate nontrivial JJ phase and proposes the potential of this structure to be utilized as a dissipationless component.

Ginzburg-Landau theory for impure superconductors of polar symmetry

Victor M. Edelstein

Summary: This paper presents a diagrammatic derivation of the Ginzburg-Landau equations for impure bulk superconductors with a symmetry group including the polar axis c. The results obtained are valid for arbitrary relationships between the critical temperature, inverse impurity scattering time, and spin-orbit energy. The magnetoelectric effect is also evaluated under the same conditions, and analogous results are presented for two-dimensional asymmetric superconductors.

Planar graphene-NbSe2 Josephson junctions in a parallel magnetic field

Tom Dvir et al.

Summary: Researchers utilized thin NbSe2 as superconducting electrodes laterally coupled to graphene to form a planar van der Waals two-dimensional Josephson junction. By studying the behavior of these novel devices with respect to temperature, gate voltage, and magnetic fields, they found that the junctions could sustain supercurrent up to high parallel magnetic fields of 8.5 T.
