Spatial-temporal characteristics of carbon emissions from land use change in Yellow River Delta region, China

Chun-yan Zhang et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of carbon emissions in the Yellow River Delta from 2000 to 2019. The results showed that construction land is the main source of carbon emissions, while forest land and water contribute more to the total carbon sink in the study area. Additionally, carbon emissions were spatially clustered, with a larger distribution in the east-west direction compared to the north-south direction. These findings provide valuable insights into the spatial distribution pattern of land use carbon sources/sinks in the Yellow River Delta and serve as a reference for the formulation of low-carbon economic policies in the region.

Space-Time Conglomerates Analysis of the Forest-Based Power Plants in Brazil (2000-2019)

Luiz Moreira Coelho Junior et al.

Summary: This paper analyzes the space-time clusters of forest-based power plants in Brazil, providing insights into their spatial distribution and temporal evolution. The results reveal that the central-south region of Brazil is the main conglomerate area for forest power plants, with black liquor and forest residues being the most commonly used energy resources.

Spatial interaction effect in renewable energy consumption in sub-Saharan Africa

Jamiil Jeetoo

Summary: This study examines the temporal and spatial correlation of renewable energy consumption (REC) and investigates its determinants in sub-Saharan African countries. The findings indicate a spatial agglomeration phenomenon in REC, and the gross domestic product per capita and quality of governance level have significant effects on REC.
