Symmetry Classification and Universality in Non-Hermitian Many-Body Quantum Chaos by the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Model

Antonio M. Garcia-Garcia et al.

Summary: Spectral correlations are a powerful tool to study the dynamics of quantum many-body systems. This study shows that local level statistics of a non-Hermitian q-body Sachdev-Ye-Kitev (nHSYK) model can be well described by random matrix theory, providing evidence of universal features in nonunitary many-body quantum chaos. The study also identifies 19 out of the 38 non-Hermitian universality classes in the nHSYK model.

Spectral Statistics of Non-Hermitian Matrices and Dissipative Quantum Chaos

Jiachen Li et al.

Summary: The DSFF successfully diagnoses dissipative quantum chaos and reveals correlations between complex eigenvalues; for dissipative quantum chaotic systems, the DSFF exhibits exact rotational symmetry and unique evolution features; for dissipative quantum integrable systems, the DSFF takes a constant value except for specific behaviors in certain regions of complex time.

Universality Classes of the Anderson Transitions Driven by Non-Hermitian Disorder

Xunlong Luo et al.

Summary: The study explores the influence of non-Hermiticity and disorder on Anderson transitions in three-dimensional systems, finding distinct critical behaviors and key exponents under different classifications of non-Hermitian systems, demonstrating that non-Hermiticity changes the universality classes of Anderson transitions.

Nonunitary Scaling Theory of Non-Hermitian Localization

Kohei Kawabata et al.

Summary: The authors developed a scaling theory of localization in non-Hermitian systems, revealing that non-Hermiticity introduces a new scale and breaks down the conventional one-parameter scaling theory of localization. The unconventional non-Hermitian delocalization is identified as originating from the two-parameter scaling. Furthermore, based on reciprocity, the authors established the threefold universality of non-Hermitian localization, where reciprocity prohibits delocalization without internal degrees of freedom, and symplectic reciprocity results in a new type of symmetry-protected delocalization.

Numerical Evidence for Many-Body Localization in Two and Three Dimensions

Eli Chertkov et al.

Summary: The study shows the existence of many-body localization phenomena in quantum systems in higher dimensions, and an algorithm has been developed to search for approximate binary l bits. The algorithm successfully identified high-quality l bits in different models, and observed rapid changes in the distribution of l bits at specific disorder strengths, suggesting the presence of MBL transitions.

Transfer matrix study of the Anderson transition in non-Hermitian systems

Xunlong Luo et al.

Summary: The paper presents a detailed transfer matrix analysis of the Anderson transition driven by non-Hermitian disorder in three NH systems. It discusses the general validity of the transfer matrix analysis in NH systems and analyzes the symmetry properties of the Lyapunov exponents, scattering matrix, and two-terminal conductance in these NH models. The study shows violations of unitarity in the S matrix in NH systems and the symmetric nature of the S matrix, Lyapunov exponents, and conductance in certain NH models.

Summary: The study explicitly constructs an integrable and strongly interacting dissipative quantum circuit based on the Trotterization of the Hubbard model with imaginary interaction strength. By analyzing different factors affecting the integrability of the circuit and how it can be disrupted, the research provides insights into the behavior of quantum circuits under various conditions.
