An N/D study of the S11 channel πN scattering amplitude

Summary: Extensive dynamical N/D calculations are conducted for low energy pi N scatterings in the S-11 channel, with analysis performed on the singular behavior of the partial wave amplitude in the complex s plane. The dispersion representation for the phase shift is found to require modification in the case of pi N scatterings. The subthreshold resonance N* (890) is found to survive with limited reliance on the dynamical inputs.
