Artificial synapse arrays based on SiOx/TiOx memristive crossbar with high uniformity for neuromorphic computing

Kangmin Leng et al.

Summary: This article reports the implementation of artificial synapse networks based on SiOx/TiOx memristive crossbar arrays. Compared to SiOx memristors, the SiOx/TiOx memristor exhibits higher uniformity with reduced coefficient of variation in both high and low resistance states. The improved uniformity is attributed to the thicker and permanent conductance pathway in the TiOx layer, which localizes the position of the conductive pathway in the SiOx layer. The SiOx/TiOx memristive crossbar array demonstrates stable and controllable operation, enabling the implementation of various biological functions.

Continuous-Time Programming of Floating-Gate Transistors for Nonvolatile Analog Memory Arrays

Brandon Rumberg et al.

Summary: Floating-gate transistors are primary means of nonvolatile digital memory in CMOS processes and key enablers for large-scale programmable analog systems. A four-transistor analog floating-gate memory cell with linear programming characteristics is presented to meet the needs of battery-powered and resource-constrained applications.
