The study aims to achieve uniform microwave heating over a large area by utilizing the Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) mode irradiation pattern. The results demonstrate that the synthesized power density distribution can be made uniform by adjusting the weights appropriately. The method using OAM modes is effective for achieving uniform microwave heating over a large area.
The objective of this study is to realize uniform power density distribution over a large area for uniform microwave heating. Utilizing the Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) mode irradiation pattern, we investigated the uniformity of power density distribution by adding the results of multiple modes. Simulation and measurement results confirmed that the synthesized power density distribution can be made uniform by giving an appropriate ratio of weights. The results show that the method using OAM modes is effective for uniform microwave heating over a large area.
