By observing the two-stage change in color and the disappearance of hysteresis on the atomic force spectroscopy curves, it is concluded that displacement adsorption of ammonia occurs on the surface of vanadium-containing silica gel IVS-1.
The interaction of indicator vanadium-containing silica gel IVS-1 with a wet air stream containing ammonia was examined. Based on the two-stage change in the color of the sorbent and the disappearance of hysteresis on the atomic force spectroscopy curves, it is assumed that displacement adsorption of ammonia occurs on the sorbent surface.
