This study proposes an indicator model for a transport connection to analyze the selective failure mode under competition between different subscriber connections for transmitting path bandwidth. The operation of the transport connection is described using a two-dimensional Markov chain with discrete time and a finite number of states. The contention indicator is measured by the queues of competitive data flows in the transit nodes of the transport connection. An analysis of the available bandwidth under various competitive conditions is conducted.
An indicator model of a transport connection is proposed for the selective failure mode under conditions of competition between different subscriber connections for the bandwidth of the transmitting path. The operation of a transport connection is described by a two-dimensional Markov chain with discrete time and a finite number of states. The contention indicator is the queues of competitive data flows in the transit nodes of the transport connection with the given parameters. The analysis of the available bandwidth in various conditions of rivalry is carried out.
