Relation between dry eye and myopia based on tear film breakup time, higher order aberration, choroidal thickness, and axial length

Debabrata Hazra et al.

Summary: This study investigated the association between dry eye disease (DED) and myopia. The findings suggested that the association between DED and myopia might be independent of higher order aberrations (HOAs). The tear film breakup time (TBUT) was significantly correlated with corneal and intraocular HOAs, while choroidal thickness (CT) was significantly associated with TBUT and axial length (AL). The parasympathetic nervous system might be a common upstream factor in the association between DED and myopia.
