This article aims to discuss Agroecology in the education of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST), with emphasis on the social praxis of its anti-systemic struggle, main characteristics of the Movement. The issue of agroecology is discussed as a proposal for the education of rural workers, which is also a form of resistance to the capitalist system of production. The methodological procedures used here were bibliographic and documental research. The bibliographic research was carried out with a survey, selection, reading and documentation of written texts, such as books, scientific articles and theses; the documentary research was carried out with a survey, selection, reading and interpretation of Brazilian legislation and documents, especially those published by the MST. The lack of representation in the defense of ecosustainability in the legislative field in Brazil shows how necessary is the expansion of Agroecology in MST education, so that its criticism goes beyond its schools.
