Investigation of bandgap properties in one-dimensional binary superconductor-dielectric photonic crystal: TE case

S. A. Taya et al.

Summary: The property of photonic bandgaps (PBGs) in a binary superconductor-dielectric photonic crystal was studied with different incidence angles and various superconductor parameters. It was found that the PBG width decreases with increasing incidence angle until it disappears at high angles, and there is an optimum superconducting layer thickness for maximum PBG. The critical temperature has the lowest impact on PBG width, while the London penetration length has the greatest effect.

A Theoretical Proposal for a Refractive Index and Angle Sensor Based on One-Dimensional Photonic Crystals

Bao-Fei Wan et al.

Summary: A structure based on one-dimensional photonic crystals is proposed for angle sensing and refractive index sensing through optical Tamm state. It demonstrates high absorption rates at multiple frequency points and the ability to adjust absorption peaks through period adjustments. This special sensing structure shows promising application prospects in the field of measurement.
