Synergistic enhancement in mechanical, thermal, and dielectric properties of PANI@BT/PVDF composites by adding 2D nanoplatelets

Guoan Li et al.

Summary: Polymer-based dielectric composites with improved dielectric constant and breakdown strength are achieved by fabricating core-shell structure nanoparticles and depositing them on 2D nanoplatelets, which are used to prepare PVDF-based composites. The presence of 2D nanoplatelets significantly enhances the dispersion of nanoparticles in the PVDF matrix, resulting in improved comprehensive performance of the composites. The composites exhibit high dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, high breakdown strength, and high tensile stress, as well as increased thermal decomposition temperature compared to the pristine PVDF composites.

Summary: This review systematically summarizes the current research status of nanocatalysts in catalytic ozone oxidation, finding that most nanocatalysts are still in the laboratory research stage. The defects of nanocatalysts such as easy aggregation, difficult separation, and easy leakage lead to resource waste, economic loss, and potential adverse effects on the ecosystem and human health. Coupling nano-catalyst and membrane, supported nanocatalysts, and magnetic nanocatalysts are promising methods to solve these problems and promote the actual application of nanocatalysts in wastewater treatment.

Free-standing reduced graphene oxide/carboxymethylcellulose-polyaniline (RGO/CMC-PANI) hybrid film electrode for high-performance asymmetric supercapacitor device

Hanping Xu et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates a facile and effective strategy to prepare a reduced graphene oxide/carboxymethylcellulose-polyaniline (RGO/CMC-PANI) hybrid film electrode. The hydrogen bonding interaction between -OH of CMC molecules and -NH2 of aniline monomer leads to the ordered growth of PANI on the surface of CMC, which effectively prevents the structural collapse of PANI during charge/discharge cycles. By compounding with RGO, CMC-PANI bridges neighboring RGO sheets and opens gaps between RGO layers, resulting in fast ion channels. Consequently, the RGO/CMC-PANI electrode exhibits excellent electrochemical performance. Moreover, an asymmetric supercapacitor using RGO/CMC-PANI as the anode and Ti3C2Tx as the cathode shows high specific capacitance, energy density, and cycling stability.
