Summary: Polymer-based dielectric composites with improved dielectric constant and breakdown strength are achieved by fabricating core-shell structure nanoparticles and depositing them on 2D nanoplatelets, which are used to prepare PVDF-based composites. The presence of 2D nanoplatelets significantly enhances the dispersion of nanoparticles in the PVDF matrix, resulting in improved comprehensive performance of the composites. The composites exhibit high dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, high breakdown strength, and high tensile stress, as well as increased thermal decomposition temperature compared to the pristine PVDF composites.

Summary: A citric acid-crosslinked beta-cyclodextrin modifying hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile membrane (beta-CD-HPAN) was designed as an effective adsorbent for bisphenol A (BPA) and tetracycline (TC) and oxytetracycline (OTC). The membrane demonstrated high removal capacity for these pollutants, with optimal adsorption conditions identified. The adsorption mechanisms were attributed to the specific properties of beta-CD-HPAN, including the entrapment of non-polar BPA molecules and the binding sites provided by carboxyl and hydroxyl groups.

Summary: This review systematically summarizes the current research status of nanocatalysts in catalytic ozone oxidation, finding that most nanocatalysts are still in the laboratory research stage. The defects of nanocatalysts such as easy aggregation, difficult separation, and easy leakage lead to resource waste, economic loss, and potential adverse effects on the ecosystem and human health. Coupling nano-catalyst and membrane, supported nanocatalysts, and magnetic nanocatalysts are promising methods to solve these problems and promote the actual application of nanocatalysts in wastewater treatment.

Summary: In this study, a mesoporous adsorbent with P-O/P--O bonds was prepared from industrial alkali lignin for oxytetracycline (OTC) removal. The adsorption capacity was three times higher than that of the microporous adsorbent. The rich mesoporous structure of the adsorbent provided adsorption channels and forces for OTC removal, and it showed high selectivity for competing cations in water. The efficient removal rate and excellent reusability demonstrated the potential of this adsorbent for industrial applications, contributing to antibiotic removal and alkali lignin waste recycling.

Summary: This study demonstrates a facile and effective strategy to prepare a reduced graphene oxide/carboxymethylcellulose-polyaniline (RGO/CMC-PANI) hybrid film electrode. The hydrogen bonding interaction between -OH of CMC molecules and -NH2 of aniline monomer leads to the ordered growth of PANI on the surface of CMC, which effectively prevents the structural collapse of PANI during charge/discharge cycles. By compounding with RGO, CMC-PANI bridges neighboring RGO sheets and opens gaps between RGO layers, resulting in fast ion channels. Consequently, the RGO/CMC-PANI electrode exhibits excellent electrochemical performance. Moreover, an asymmetric supercapacitor using RGO/CMC-PANI as the anode and Ti3C2Tx as the cathode shows high specific capacitance, energy density, and cycling stability.

Summary: Adsorption is a promising method for removing heavy metals from contaminated water. In this study, a highly efficient composite absorbent was synthesized using chitosan and ethylenediaminetetraacetate-intercalated Mg-Al hydrotalcite-like compound. The adsorbent had a high specific surface area and various functional groups, allowing for strong complexation with Cu(II). The adsorption capacity was investigated under different conditions, and it was found that the equilibrium was reached within 120 min. The adsorption kinetics and isotherms were well described by mathematical models. The results suggest that this absorbent has potential applications in treating Cu(II) contaminated wastewater.
