The effectiveness of treating a (CuGa)(0.5)ZnS2 H-2-evolving photocatalyst in an aqueous Na2S solution for Z-schematic water splitting under visible light irradiation is demonstrated by suppressing undesired consumption of photogenerated holes, including photocorrosion of (CuGa)(0.5)ZnS2.
