Sex Differences in Endurance Running

Gender and Age Differences in Performance of Over 70,000 Chinese Finishers in the Half- and Full-Marathon Events

The results showed that gender and race distance had significant effects on average running speed, with males performing better than females and short-distance runners having faster average running speed.
