Photobiomodulation therapy as a high potential treatment modality for COVID-19

Sepideh Soheilifar et al.

Summary: COVID-19 has become a global concern, with patients showing different symptoms based on disease severity. While the host immune system can successfully eliminate the virus in mild cases, it may lead to acute respiratory distress syndrome in severe cases. Photobiomodulation has shown promising results in reducing acute pulmonary inflammation and may be an effective treatment modality for managing ARDS in COVID-19 patients.
