Highly luminescent air-stable AgInS2/ZnS core/shell nanocrystals for grow lights

Tran Thi Thu Huong et al.

Summary: This article presents the high yield solvothermal syntheses of AgInS2 (AIS) core nanocrystals (NCs) and AIS/ZnS core/shell NCs that emit stably strong luminescence peaking around 665 nm. Increasing the thickness of the ZnS shell enhances the stability and luminescence of AIS/ZnS core/shell NCs. Time-resolved PL spectra show a longer emission delay in AIS/ZnS core/shell NCs.

Luminescence investigation of red-emitting Sr2MgMoO6:Eu3+ phosphor for visualization of latent fingerprint

Yu Wang et al.

Summary: Fingerprints are unique and important for identifying crime scenes and personal information. The powder dusting method is favored for latent fingerprint detection due to its environmental friendliness, but it has shortcomings such as low resolution, sensitivity, and background interference. The synthesized Sr2MgMoO6:xEu(3+) phosphors show promise for overcoming these drawbacks and can be applied for fluorescent latent fingerprint detection.

A warm white light macromolecular complex phosphor containing Eu(III), Tb(III) and Zn(II) with low color temperature and high color index

Hui Zhao et al.

Summary: This paper presents a method for synthesizing a warm white light macromolecular complex phosphor with low color temperature and high color index, using copolymers as macromolecular ligands and Eu(III), Tb(III), and Zn(II) vacancy complexes. The structures and luminescent properties were characterized, with the results demonstrating potential for efficient light sources.

Bright red emission with high color purity from Eu(iii) complexes with π-conjugated polycyclic aromatic ligands and their sensing applications

Yuichi Kitagawa et al.

Summary: Eu(iii) complexes emit red light with high color purity, attracting attention for display and physical sensing applications. Bright emission depends on ligand structures, with pi-conjugated design being key. Additionally, pi-conjugated Eu(iii) luminophores can provide oxygen and temperature sensing properties.
