Interactions of Catalytic Enzymes with n-Type Polymers for High-Performance Metabolite Sensors

David Ohayon et al.

Summary: We developed an electrochemical transistor with an n-type conjugated polymer film for sensitive and selective glucose detection in bodily fluids. By studying the impact of the polymer chemical structure on film surface properties and enzyme adsorption behavior, we found that a negatively charged, smooth, and hydrophilic film surface provides the best environment for enzyme adsorption and maximizes sensor performance.

Non-invasive electrochemical immunosensor for sweat cortisol based on L-cys/AuNPs/MXene modified thread electrode

Thidarut Laochai et al.

Summary: In this study, a thread-based electrochemical immunosensor was fabricated for non-invasive detection of cortisol in sweat. The sensor demonstrated high sensitivity, wide linear range, and low detection limit. It also exhibited good reproducibility and long-term storage stability. Furthermore, by integrating the electrochemical sensor on a wristband, it can serve as a portable tool for monitoring sweat cortisol.

Measurements of hydrocortisone and cortisone for longitudinal profiling of equine plasma by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

Kathy Tou et al.

Summary: The aim of this research was to investigate the plasma concentrations of hydrocortisone (HC) and cortisone (C) in race day samples compared to the administration of Triamcinolone Acetonide (TACA). The results showed that the use of TACA resulted in a decrease in HC/C values for up to 96 hours post-administration, longer than the detection period of TACA itself.
