Ana Maria Leiva et al.

Summary: This study discusses the risks associated with the reuse of treated wastewater in agriculture, particularly focusing on the dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes and the potential health risks. The research found that different wastewater treatment technologies have varying capacities to reduce ARG dissemination. However, challenges such as operational parameters, plant design, and water quality need to be considered for safe reuse of TWW in agriculture.

Boosting Piezo/Photo-Induced Charge Transfer of CNT/Bi4O5I2 Catalyst for Efficient Ultrasound-Assisted Degradation of Rhodamine B

Yang Wang et al.

Summary: The strain-induced internal electric fields play a significant role in enhancing the separation of photoinduced electrons and holes, leading to a remarkable increase in the photocatalytic degradation efficiency of hybrid CNT/Bi4O5I2 under ultrasonic vibration. The CNT coating on Bi4O5I2 enhances the piezo-induced positive/negative migration, ultimately improving the piezocatalytic activity of the system.
