Facile one-pot synthesis of template-free porous sulfur-doped g-C3N4/Bi2S3 nanocomposite as efficient supercapacitor electrode materials

Heba A. El-Sabban et al.

Summary: This study presents a facile one-step template-free approach for controlling the porous morphology of sulfur-doped g-C3N4/Bi2S3, which shows promising potential as an electrode material for highly efficient supercapacitors. The bismuth nitrate acts as a temporary template, creating pores within Sg-C3N4 sheets before transforming into Bi2S3 nanoparticles. The designed device exhibits a maximum energy density of 6.2 Wh kg-1 and a corresponding power density of 455 W kg-1 at a current density of 0.8 A g-1, while maintaining 80% of its initial capacity after 3000 cycles, indicating the applicable potential of Bi2S3/Sg-C3N4-II for supercapacitor applications.

Hydrothermal synthesis, characterization and electrochemical behavior of NiMoO4 nanoflower and NiMoO4/rGO nanocomposite for high-performance supercapacitors

E. Murugan et al.

Summary: The morphology of NiMoO4 is crucial for enhancing the specific capacitance of supercapacitors, with high surface area and thin electrolytic dielectric properties playing a vital role. NiMoO4 nano flower and NiMoO4/rGO nanocomposites exhibit pseudocapacitive behavior, with the latter showing higher specific capacitance at 1 A g(-1). The addition of rGO contributes to differences in specific capacitance and electrochemical impedance between the two electrode materials.
