Moving Object Prediction and Grasping System of Robot Manipulator

Ching-Chang Wong et al.

Summary: In this paper, a moving object prediction and grasping system for a robot manipulator to grasp moving objects is designed and implemented. The system consists of three main parts: moving object recognition, moving object prediction, and system realization and verification. The YOLACT algorithm is used for moving object recognition, while LSTM and CNN are employed for moving object prediction. The system is successfully implemented and verified with different moving platforms.

Moving Object Grasping Method of Mechanical Arm Based on Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient and Hindsight Experience Replay

Jian Peng et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a new grasping method for manipulators in stamping automatic production lines. The deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) method is used as the basic reinforcement-learning algorithm, and the hindsight experience replay (HER) is introduced to improve the success rate.

Real-time deep learning approach to visual servo control and grasp detection for autonomous robotic manipulation

Eduardo Godinho Ribeiro et al.

Summary: This study explores the potential of using supervised deep learning for robotic grasping in unstructured and dynamic environments by training a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with the Cornell Grasping Dataset (CGD). The developed controller achieves millimeter accuracy in the final position considering a target object seen for the first time, showing promising results for autonomous robotic manipulation.
