Dandelion-Like CuCo2O4@ NiMn LDH Core/Shell Nanoflowers for Excellent Battery-Type Supercapacitor

Wenhua Zhao et al.

Summary: Dandelion-like CuCo2O4 nanoflowers with ultrathin NiMn layered double hydroxide shells were fabricated via a two-step hydrothermal method. The prepared CuCo2O4@NiMn LDH core/shell nanoflowers possessed a high specific surface area and exhibited typical battery-type electrode material characteristics. An asymmetric supercapacitor with CuCo2O4@NiMn LDH nanoflowers//activated carbon showed outstanding capacitance and cycling stability.

Simultaneous detection of dual biomarkers using hierarchical MoS2 nanostructuring and nano-signal amplification-based electrochemical aptasensor toward accurate diagnosis of prostate cancer

Ruohong Yan et al.

Summary: The study introduces an electrochemical aptasensor using MoS2 nanostructuring and SiO2 nano-signal amplification for simultaneous detection of PSA and sarcosine in prostate cancer. This approach allows for ultrasensitive detection, differentiation of cancer patients from healthy individuals, and provides a single-step analysis for accurate diagnosis and early detection of cancer in clinical settings.

Development of a dual-recognition strategy for the aflatoxin B1 detection based on a hybrid of aptamer-MIP using a Cu2O NCs/GCE

Mahmoud Roushani et al.

Summary: In this study, a new biological biodevice for the accurate and cost-effective measurement of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) was proposed. The device is based on a hybrid of molecular imprinting polymer (MIP) and aptamer (Apt) on a glassy carbon electrode modified by Cu2O nanocubes (Cu2O NCs/GCE). The device exhibited high performance, with a linear range of 50.0 pg L-1 to 3.5 ng L-1 and a detection limit of 3.5 ng L-1 to 40.0 ng L-1 and 12.0 pg L-1. The advantages of the device include novelty, high selectivity, portability, and cost-effectiveness.

Aptamers with Self-Loading Drug Payload and pH-Controlled Drug Release for Targeted Chemotherapy

Zihua Zeng et al.

Summary: Doxorubicin (DOX) is a common anti-tumor drug that has been utilized to form aptamer-drug conjugates for targeted cancer therapy. The synthesized Apt-TNM-DOX conjugate has high drug payloads and pH-dependent drug release, allowing for specific targeting of lymphoma cells in a simple and non-toxic manner. This targeted therapeutic approach may reduce non-specific side effects associated with traditional chemotherapy.
