Summary: This study examines the structural and sociocultural determinants of prenatal care access among American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) and White women in North Dakota. The findings suggest that AI/AN women have a higher risk of late prenatal care initiation and dissatisfaction with the timing of prenatal care compared to White women. AI/AN women also report a higher prevalence of barriers to care. Lack of health insurance is more common among White women.
