Selenium nanoparticles as in vitro rooting agent, regulates stomata closure and antioxidant activity of gerbera to tolerate acclimatization stress

Hoang Dac Khai et al.

Summary: Supplementation of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) in gerbera culture medium improved in vitro rooting, stomatal development, and biochemical parameters of gerbera plantlets, resulting in high survival rates and accelerated flowering under ex vitro conditions. SeNPs increased endogenous auxin levels, leading to improved rooting efficiency. Moderate concentrations of SeNPs promoted plantlet growth and antioxidant enzyme activity. However, high concentrations of SeNPs showed inhibitory effects.

Efficient production of vigorous passion fruit rootstock for in vitro grafting

Tran Hieu et al.

Summary: This study established an efficient protocol for the multiplication of vigorous passion fruit rootstock in vitro through the application of thin cell layer culture techniques, nanotechnology, and modification of the culture medium. Nylon microtubes improved the success rate of in vitro grafting and the growth of ex vitro grafted plants.
