Assessment of Petrol and Natural Gas Vehicle Carbon Oxides Emissions in the Laboratory and On-Road Tests

Kazimierz Lejda et al.

Summary: The issue of global warming and climate change calls for solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly CO2. New cars are designed to consume less fuel and emit lower levels of CO2, making them more environmentally friendly than older models. By converting older vehicles to run on natural gas, significant reductions in CO2 emissions can be achieved, especially in urban driving conditions.

Use of Artificial Neural Networks to Predict Fuel Consumption on the Basis of Technical Parameters of Vehicles

Jaroslaw Ziolkowski et al.

Summary: This study presents a multifaceted analysis of fuel consumption of motor vehicles and its environmental impact, focusing on passenger cars. Using artificial neural networks, a predictive model was created based on a database containing 1750 vehicle records from the past decade. The study determined the influence of input variables on prediction accuracy and built neural networks with different configurations to evaluate prediction errors, specifically for passenger cars with internal combustion engines.
