Nanoplasmonic Directional Coupler Using Asymmetric Parallel Coupled MIM Waveguides

Kola Thirupathaiah et al.

Summary: This article presents the design and analysis of a nanoplasmonic directional coupler using an asymmetric parallel-coupled line metal insulator metal (MIM) waveguide. The designed coupler can achieve dual-band nature and is useful for exchanging multiple plasmonic devices in photonic integrated circuits.

Graphene-Based Multiband Chiral Metamaterial Absorbers Comprised of Square Split-Ring Resonator Arrays With Different Numbers of Gaps, and Their Equivalent Circuit Model

Somayyeh Asgari et al.

Summary: This study analyzes the performance of graphene-based multi-band chiral metamaterial absorbers using an equivalent circuit model in the terahertz range. Four tunable absorbers with multiple absorption bands are designed and demonstrated to have promising potential in future terahertz systems. The results show that the absorbers have high absorption rates and can be dynamically controlled.

A Nanoplasmonic Branchline Coupler for Subwavelength Wireless Networks

Kola Thirupathaiah et al.

Summary: This article introduces a new nanoplasmonic branchline coupler designed using an edge coupled coplanar waveguide with a finite length suspended backed conductor. The coupler's coupling coefficient can be controlled by changing the length of the backed conductor. The newly designed coupler can operate at two arbitrary optical frequency bands and is suitable for subwavelength nanoscale wireless network applications and photonic integrated circuits.
