Application of adipose-derived, muscle-derived, and co-cultured stem cells for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence in rat models

Hora Jalali Tehrani et al.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of transurethral injection of autologous adipose-derived stem cells, muscle-derived stem cells, and co-cultured cells for the rehabilitation of stress urinary incontinence rat models. Results indicated that co-cultured stem cells led to enhanced therapeutic outcomes compared to singular-cell treatments.

An In Vitro Study on Extracellular Vesicles From Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Protecting Stress Urinary Incontinence Through MicroRNA-93/F3 Axis

Lu Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of ADSCs-extracellular vesicles carrying miR-93 in stress urinary incontinence, showcasing their regulatory role in collagen metabolism. The delivered miR-93 targeted F3 expression to promote extracellular matrix remodeling in fibroblasts and activation of satellite cells in stress urinary incontinence. Extracellular vesicles from ADSCs played a crucial role in delivering miR-93 and regulating gene expression in target cells to alleviate symptoms of stress urinary incontinence.
