Recoverable Dual-Modal Responsive Sensing Materials Based on Mechanoluminescence and Thermally Stimulated Luminescence toward Noncontact Tactile Sensors

Na Li et al.

Summary: A new trap-controlled material Sr2MgAl22O36:Mn2+ with bifunctional mechano/thermal sensing applications was developed and investigated. The Sr2MgAl22O36:Mn2+/PDMS composite film exhibited bright green-emitting mechanoluminescence (ML) and thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) that directly and rapidly responded to mechano/thermal dual stimulation. This study presents a novel approach for the development of optical skins with simple structures and sensitive visibility in the application of intelligent robot tactile sensing.

Luminescence investigation of red-emitting Sr2MgMoO6:Eu3+ phosphor for visualization of latent fingerprint

Yu Wang et al.

Summary: Fingerprints are unique and important for identifying crime scenes and personal information. The powder dusting method is favored for latent fingerprint detection due to its environmental friendliness, but it has shortcomings such as low resolution, sensitivity, and background interference. The synthesized Sr2MgMoO6:xEu(3+) phosphors show promise for overcoming these drawbacks and can be applied for fluorescent latent fingerprint detection.
