This paper proposes a method to generate oblique Airy-OAM beams using reflective metasurfaces. Experimental results show that the generated beams possess both the auto-focus feature of Airy beams and the spiral wave-front phase characteristic of OAM beams. This method can enhance the efficiency of near-field OAM communication systems.
In this paper, we propose the generation of oblique Airy-OAM beam with reflective metasurface. A prototype is designed, fabricated and measured to launch the Airy-OAM beam directing at elevation angle of 20 deg. Both full-wave simulation and practical measurement show that the generated beam has auto-focus feature of Airy beam and spiral wave-front phase characteristic of OAM beam at the same time. The proposed oblique Airy-OAM beam generation method can be applied in the efficiency enhancement of near-field OAM communication systems.
