Ashish Gautam et al.

Summary: The equilibrium CO2 loading for a novel aqueous amine blend of TETA and DMAE was estimated by absorbing CO2 gas in a bubble column reactor. The absorption study was conducted at various temperatures, mole fractions of TETA, solution concentrations, and CO2 partial pressures. The maximum experimental equilibrium CO2 loading was 0.92 mol CO2/mol amine at specific conditions. The absorption results were validated using an empirical model with good agreement.

Enhanced Photocatalytic Degradation of ZnTiO3/Polycarbazole (PCz) Composite Towards Toxic Azo Dye

Jeffrey Joseph John Jeya Kamaraj et al.

Summary: The ZnTiO3 material was synthesized using the sol-gel method with ethanol as the solvent. Polycarbazole (PCz) was synthesized by oxidative polymerization. The mechanically composited nanoparticles-ZnTiO3/PCz nanocomposite was synthesized using the ball milling technique. The synthesized composites were analyzed using various techniques and the ZnTiO3/PCz composites showed superior photocatalytic activity due to the active trapping of photogenerated electrons by polycarbazole, which reduced recombination and increased the degrading effect of the catalyst.

Han Li et al.

Summary: Hierarchically porous activated Starbons (R) derived from starch show excellent adsorption capacity for methylene blue, making them promising adsorbents for water purification. The optimal material (S950C90) has a nine-fold higher adsorption capacity than unactivated S800 and a four-fold higher capacity than commercial activated carbon. The adsorption process reaches equilibrium within 5 minutes and the adsorbents can be regenerated using acidic ethanol.

A review on the development of elemental and codoped TiO2 photocatalysts for enhanced dye degradation under UV-vis irradiation

Alam S. M. Nur et al.

Summary: Dye-contaminated water poses a global problem due to its negative impact on human health and the aquatic environment. Photocatalysis using TiO2 as the prime choice catalyst shows promise for dye pollution remediation, but its low quantum efficiency under solar radiation limits commercialization. Research has focused on increasing TiO2's efficiency through doping and morphological modifications to enhance dye degradation under UV-Vis irradiation.

Jingxuan Li et al.

Summary: In this study, nanometer-sized rutile (La + Nb) co-doped TiO2 powders were synthesized using a sol-gel method to prepare ceramics with grain sizes less than 200 nm. The effect of co-doping concentration on microstructures and dielectric properties was investigated, with a 2% co-doping concentration showing high dielectric permittivity and low dielectric loss. The electron hopping and electron-pinned defect-dipole effect were considered as the main reasons for the excellent dielectric properties observed in the co-doped TiO2 ceramics.
