Nonlinear dynamics of blood passing through an overlapped stenotic artery with copper nanoparticles

Hanumesh Vaidya et al.

Summary: The dynamics of blood carrying microscopic copper particles through overlapping stenotic arteries is an important research area, especially for understanding the flow dynamics in blood vessels. The study used the Casson model to analyze the peristaltic blood flow of copper nanoparticles in overlapping stenotic arteries. Higher temperature and velocity were observed in the stenosed arteries, with a decrease as it approaches the artery wall. The increase in the heat source parameter led to a higher temperature distribution.

Bioconvection flow of Cross nanofluid due to cylinder with activation energy and second order slip features

Amjad Salamah M. Aljaloud et al.

Summary: This research explores the applications of cross nanofluids in various fields, including thermal engineering, solar systems, industrial processes, and cooling processes. It also investigates the thermal impact of the bioconvection phenomenon, considering radiated phenomenon, activation energy, and viscous dissipation. The study utilizes numerical simulations with the implementation of the finite difference method and evaluates the graphical framework for flow parameters. The results show an increase in velocity profile with curvature index and curvature parameter, a reduction in velocity profile with the interaction of the first-order slip parameter, and an enhanced thermal impact due to the Biot number.

An effect of magnetohydrodynamic and radiation on axisymmetric flow of non-Newtonian fluid past a porous shrinking/stretching surface

U. S. Mahabaleshwar et al.

Summary: This article discusses the magnetohydrodynamic axisymmetric flow of Casson fluid over a nonlinear permeable shrinking or stretched surface. The heat transfer characteristics of an axisymmetric fluid across a nonlinearly shrinking or stretching surface provided by a Casson fluid are analyzed analytically. Transformed equations and an incomplete gamma function are used to solve the temperature equation analytically. The momentum equation is investigated to estimate mass transpiration analytically.

Magnetohydrodynamics effect of Marangoni nano boundary layer flow and heat transfer with CNT and radiation

K. N. Sneha et al.

Summary: This investigation focuses on the thermal flow of 2-dimensional MHD steady incompressible fluid. By adding nanoparticles and applying a strong magnetic field, the thermal efficiency is improved. The governing equations are transformed into a system of ODEs after appropriate similarity transformations. The velocity profile and temperature distribution are obtained by solving the resulting system analytically, expressed in exponential and Gamma functions. Factors such as magnetic field, viscoelasticity, and suction/injection influence the flow field, while factors including thermal radiation and Prandtl number affect the temperature field. The results reveal the impact of viscoelastic constraint, magnetic field, and suction/injection parameters on the axial velocity, and graphical representations show the effects of mass transpiration on velocity profiles and temperature distribution.

Exploration of water conveying carbon nanotubes, graphene, and copper nanoparticles on impermeable stagnant and moveable walls experiencing variable temperature: thermal analysis

I. L. Animasaun et al.

Summary: Variability in temperature of stagnant and moveable wall is inevitable in the motion of water-based hybrid nanofluid subject to heat source on impermeable walls in the industry. However, little is known about the motion of water conveying spherical carbon nanotubes, cylindrical graphene, and platelet copper nanoparticles at different volumes of nanoparticles and levels of buoyancy. The governing equations are presented, non-dimensionalized, and numerically solved for constant pressure and asymptotically large Grashof number. It is worth concluding that minimal velocity is obtainable with stagnant impermeable surface, while minimal temperature distribution is obtainable with moving impermeable surface. Minimal local skin friction coefficients are obtainable with sufficiently large volume of nanoparticles (i.e., spherical carbon nanotubes, cylindrical graphene, and platelet copper) in water-based ternary-hybrid nanofluid flow on stagnant impermeable wall.

Quartic autocatalysis on horizontal surfaces with an asymmetric concentration: water-based ternary-hybrid nanofluid carrying titania, copper, and alumina nanoparticles

S. Saranya et al.

Summary: This study focuses on understanding the mechanisms and kinetics of homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions in ternary-hybrid nanofluids. The non-linear partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations using local similarity transformations and numerically solved using MATLAB. The Tiwari-Das model is used to study the flow-thermal behavior of the nanofluid, and thermal conductivity formulations are incorporated based on experimental works. The investigation shows that the strength of homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions has opposite effects on the concentration fields.

Experimental investigation on thermo-physical properties and subcooled flow boiling performance of Al2O3/water nanofluids in a horizontal tube

Sayantan Mukherjee et al.

Summary: In this experimental study, convective flow boiling heat transfer using Al2O3/water nanofluid in a horizontal tube was analyzed. The nanofluids exhibited good stability and enhanced thermophysical properties, resulting in a significant increase in heat transfer coefficient, although it also led to an increase in pressure drop. Performance evaluation criteria showed a 94% improvement in overall thermal performance compared to pure water.

Analytical ADM study of time-dependent hydromagnetic flow of biofluid over a wedge

C. M. Ayeche et al.

Summary: This study investigates the two-dimensional time-dependent laminar hydromagnetic boundary-layer flow of a bio-magnetic fluid over a wedge using a micropolar fluid model with convective boundary conditions and the action of a transversely magnetic field. The analysis is done through Adomian decomposition method (ADM) and numerically through the shooting technique based on Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg. The effect of parameters on the dimensionless velocity, temperature, and micro-rotation of the bio-magnetic flow throughout the boundary layer is studied, showing that flow separation may occur with an increase in unsteadiness parameter K and is prevented with a rise in wedge angle parameter beta.
