Semianalytical solutions of Ising-like and Potts-like magnetic polymers on the Bethe lattice

Nathann T. Rodrigues et al.

Summary: We study magnetic polymers on Bethe lattices and find different thermodynamic properties depending on the type of polymers and the coupling between spins. For Potts-like polymers, a second tricritical point is found in the system for q=2, and a triple point is present in the phase diagram for q>6. The spin ordering transition is preceded by the polymer collapse transition when q>6, and they happen together at critical end points for q=7 and the Ising-like model.

Critical behavior of magnetic polymers in two and three dimensions

Damien Paul Foster et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the critical behavior of lattice models of polymers with monomers carrying a magnetic moment, showing a first-order character of both magnetic transition and polymer collapse in three dimensions, while a continuous transition is observed in two dimensions. Finite-size scaling is used to estimate critical exponents and transition temperature in the absence of an external magnetic field.
