Wearable molecularly imprinted electrochemical sensor with integrated nanofiber-based microfluidic chip for in situ monitoring of cortisol in sweat

Summary: In this study, a flexible electrochemical sensor for in situ and real-time sweat analysis was developed using nanofiber-involved microfluidic technique and molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP). The sensor consisted of a bottom MIP-modified electrode layer for sensing and an upper nanofiber-based microfluidic layer for spontaneous sweat pumping. The sensor demonstrated a wide detection range (1 nM to 1 μM) and excellent selectivity and stability with cortisol as the model analyte. Real-time monitoring of cortisol in healthy volunteers' sweat validated the on-body applicability of the sensor.

Portable electrochemiluminescence detection system based on silicon photomultiplier single photon detector and aptasensor for the detection of tetracycline in milk

Summary: A portable electrochemiluminescence (ECL) detection system based on silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) single photon detector was proposed for the detection of ECL signals on a screen-printed electrode (SPE). This instrument solved the friability and bloat issues of traditional ECL detection instruments by using SiPM single photon detector to detect the ECL signal. An aptasensor based on silver (core)-gold (shell) bimetallic nanoparticles (Ag@AuNPs) was constructed for the detection of tetracycline (TET) in milk on SPE, which showed an excellent linearity and a low limit of detection.

Bisphenol A detection based on nano gold-doped molecular imprinting electrochemical sensor with enhanced sensitivity

Summary: A facile electrochemical sensor based on nano gold-doped molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was proposed for selective detection of bisphenol A (BPA) with enhanced sensitivity. The sensor utilized gold-doped MIP film, formed by electropolymerization, to distribute gold nanoparticles near the imprinted cavities. The gold-doped MIP increased the effective surface area and conductivity, improving the sensitivity of BPA detection.

Dual-channel MIRECL portable devices with impedance effect coupled smartphone and machine learning system for tyramine identification and quantification

Summary: We developed a novel, portable, and visual dual-potential molecularly imprinted ratiometric electrochemiluminescence (MIRECL) sensor for tyramine (TYM) detection based on smartphone and deep learning-assisted optical devices. The MIP-Ce2Sn2O7 layers were fabricated as the capture and signal amplification probe. By combining an artificial intelligence image recognition algorithm and the principle of optical signal reading by smartphone, the developed MIRECL sensor has been successfully applied for the portable and visual determination of TYM in aquatic samples.

3D flower-like perylenetetracarboxylic-Zn(II) superstructures/Bi2WO6 step-scheme heterojunctions with enhanced visible light photocatalytic performance

Summary: The study synthesized flower-like perylenetetracarboxylic-Zn(II) superstructures with Zn2+ ions and constructed a step-scheme heterojunction with Bi2WO6. This heterojunction significantly improved the photocatalytic efficiency for tetracycline degradation compared with pure Zn-PTC and Bi2WO6. The step-scheme charge transfer pathway effectively inhibited the recombination of photo-generated charges and utilized the different oxidation and reduction abilities of Zn-PTC and Bi2WO6.

Photonic Crystal of Polystyrene Nanomembrane: Signal Amplification and Low Triggered Potential Electrochemiluminescence for Tetracycline Detection

Summary: A low triggered potential electrochemiluminescence strategy based on gold-filled photonic crystal electrodes was proposed in this study. The strategy involved Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)-COOH labeling on antibodies connected to immobilized antigens for detection, with ECL emission initiated by the oxidation of tripropylamine. The nanomembrane of the photonic crystals was found to enhance the electrochemiluminescence, allowing successful detection of tetracycline antibiotic with a low detection limit.
